Good morning and welcome to Joined-Up Health & Care 2019. This is a liveblog of the annual event that showcases InterSystems’ latest thinking and solutions and how healthcare organisations are tackling the challenge of joined-up health and care.
The live-blog will be running throughout the day from JUHC19’s great new venue at The Vox in Birmingham. Because it’s live, there may be the occasional, small error. But we’ll be looking to capture all the keynote presentations and debate and the atmosphere of what is going to be a busy day.
And… it is 9.30 and the event has just started with a video from InterSystems chief executive Terry Ragon, who says the event will be “a learning opportunity for us, and a learning opportunity for you.”
He also says healthcare IT has “entered a new age: an age of interoperability” – which has always been one of the company’s “core principles.” And he praises the partnerships that InterSystems has formed, as the foundation for its success. “We want to continue to hear your good ideas and to help you with your most difficult problems.”
